Peru Rail Titicaca Train
The Titicaca train follows in the footsteps of the Incas, from the ancient city of Cuzco to the shores of Lake Titicaca, or vice versa. The ten-hour journey is dominated by magnificent Andean mountains towering over the deep valleys of the meandering Huatanay River, followed by gentle rolling Andean plains, where vicunas and alpacas may be seen. The best vistas of the changing scenery can be enjoyed from the open-air observatory car at the back of the train. A three-course lunch followed by coffee, as well as afternoon tea, is served in the 1920s-inspired dining car.
