How does Peru Travel Solutions work?
You may call, fill out one of our online forms, or email a request. We will pair you with your personal travel advisor within 24 hours. Your travel advisor will help you customize the trip of your dreams by letting you know destination highlights and giving you expert travel advice.
Once you choose your final trip itinerary?
You will receive confirmation for your trip 1-2 weeks after booking. You will need to make a 40% down payment to confirm your booking. Your travel advisor will remind you about your trip balance 45 days before your trip. However, we also manage last minute trips.
Can I create my own package?
Yes, absolutely. Every one of our packages is highly customizable to suit your preferences and desires. However, you may also just let us know where you want to travel and for how long and we will create the perfect trip just for you!
What does a private tour mean?
A private tour means that it is fully private just for you/your group. This means that you will have your own transport, driver and guide (when applicable) for just you. Of course, for elements such as flights, bus, train or boat rides you will be sharing with other people.
What type of transportation is used?
Our Peru tours utilize a variety of transportation including private vans/ cars, comfortable tourist buses, flights, motor boats, etc. We use a mix of private/ public transportation to provide travelers with the safest and most efficient transportation in each area.
When is the best time to go?
Travelers can visit Peru any time of the year. Dry season runs from May to November and this is typically the time that is most recommended. In the wet season (December to April), you can expect showers three to four afternoons a week, but it offers smaller crowds and greener hillsides.
Are these trips suitable for kids?
If your children enjoy wildlife, learning about other cultures, and meeting new people, Peru may be a great choice. To make family tours easier, we often recommend having a private group and guide, though families with well-behaved children are welcome on our group tours as well.
Do tour rates include international and/or domestic flights?
Tour rates do not include flights. We find that it is usually less expensive for travelers to book these separately and this also allows you the flexibility to choose the schedule and routing that is most convenient for you. However, we can help you arrange these flights.
How do I get to the hotel from the airport when I arrive?
Most of our packages include transfers, so a representative will be waiting for you with a name sign as you exit customs and will lead you to your transportation that will take you to your hotel. Keep a look out for your name.
How far in advance should I book?
You can book your tour at any time and generally the earlier you book, the better. Booking early (4 months or more recommended) is especially important for travelers visiting during the height of the dry season, June to August, as many of these departures fill up months in advance.
Are tour dates flexible or can I extend or change my stay?
Absolutely! Our trips can be tailor-made to suit your particular needs upon request as long as it is requested before booking and flights/ trains/ hotels/ lodges are available.
Are tour daily itineraries fixed?
Although the itineraries are planned with great care, due to operational reasons, it may be necessary to change the sequence of activities or the specified route, and though such cases are rare, in general the itinerary should be treated only as a basic guideline.
What happens if I need to cancel my trip?
Any cancellations or changes made by the client must be submitted in writing by the client at their earliest convenience. The cancelation terms and conditions are detailed in the Commercial Policies section.
What happens if Peru Travel Solutions has to cancel my trip?
We reserve the right to cancel, curtail, modify or substitute activities in a trip at any time for a reason that in our opinion would compromise the quality of the trip and /or the safety of the passengers.
Do your guides all speak English?
Yes. We have all professional, expert English-speaking guides. We also have guides who speak French, German, Italian, among other languages upon request in advance.
Is travel insurance necessary?
We highly recommend travel insurance for your own benefit and protection. Life has a habit of throwing us curveballs, and it’s nice to know you’re protected. Upon request we can offer you travel insurance.
