What are the accommodations like?

We use mostly three, four and five star hotels. All of our Peru hotels have private baths, hot water and clean, comfortable rooms. For certain experiential packages, homestays are use as well.

Where are the hotels located?

All of our hotels are located in secure and easily accessible areas. You will find yourself within easy walking distance of main attractions as well as restaurants and shopping.

Will the hotel staff speak English?

Yes, most primary hotel staff (reception, restaurant, management) will speak English. And remember, your English speaking guide is always available to assist should the need arise.

Is the hotel safe?

We have carefully selected our hotels with a number of factors in mind, including your security. We have never had any incidents with our travelers. Regarding your personal items, we do still recommend that you utilize the hotel´s safe deposit box for storing any of your items of value.

What type of breakfast is served?

Most five and four star hotels will typically offer a breakfast buffet, while three star hotels and hostels typically offer a standard continental breakfast

In what locations are homestays available?

We offer homestays for experiential tourism in a variety of areas. Our most popular locations are in Colca and Cotahuasi Canyons; Sacred Valley Andean Communities; Cordillera Blanca Andean Communities; Cajamarca Andean Communities; and Taquile and Amantani Islands in Lake Titicaca.

What can one expect from a homestay?

Homestays offer a great experience to enjoy the daily life of the Andean people. All of the accommodations are very basic, but comfortable. Bedrooms will have single beds with many blankets a shared bathroom and limited electricity.

Are meals included?

We have tried to balance flexibility and convenience regarding meal options. For this reason, we always include breakfast, while lunch is mostly included in full day excursions. Dinner is rarely included. Full board is only included in treks, experiential trips, Amazon lodges and cruises.

Where are the hotels in Machu Picchu?

Sanctuary Lodge is the one and only hotel adjacent to the citadel located at the entrance of the ruins. All other hotels are located at the base in Machu Picchu Pueblo, formerly known as Aguas Calientes.

Will I have air conditioning and / or heater in my room?

Most of our five and four star hotels have air conditioning and / or heater units in each room, while most three star hotels and hostels only offer fans for ventilation / cooling and portable heaters.

How will I receive my hotel vouchers?

We arrange everything via e-vouchers so there is maximum flexibility for you. Once at the hotel, your reservation will be waiting for you, just show your passport and your Andean Immigration Card, provided by immigration when you enter the country.

Peru travel solutions helped us plan an 8 day/9 night trip to Peru. Our trip was amazing and memorable. We chose a very active vacation which included white water rafting, hiking to Machu Picchu and Rainbow mountain in addition to various ruins. We had guides every day who were punctual in picking us up, knowledgeable about the sites and great to work with. Would definitely recommend this tour company. They made our trip easy and relaxing in terms of the details and logistics.

My friend and I have recently returned from an amazing sightseeing trip to Peru, where we travelled extensively on tours, organised by Tempo Tours. We received an excellent service with amazing attention to detail. Drivers and guides were extremely professional, knowledgeable, polite, prompt and couldn’t do enough to ensure we had a great experience. A big thank you to Ernesto who went out of his way to resolve any queries and give advice. Thank you all for giving us a trip to remember!

From beginning to end, our trip was super stress free. Our tour guide, Marden, was amazing and the fact he spoke English and knew so much about nature was nice because my hubby could do what he came to the jungle for, which was explore the wildlife!
