Lampa Tour
Lampa is known as “The Pink City of the 7 wonders “. Its main attraction is the Templo de Santiago Apostol, a church and national monument that dates back to 1675, known for its catacombs and a replica sculpture of the Pietà by Michelangelo. Its facade was built with black and clear stones and apparently, the church was built over an Inca construction. In the church stands the chapel of Piety where lies the exact replica of the Pieta, ordered to build by Pope XXIII. Likewise, in the church of Lampa underground lies Inca catacombs in shape of tunnels, one leading to Cusco, the second to the gold mines and the third one to Puno, these tunnels have served for the Incas to escape of the conquerors, it is said the people who entered there have never returned.
