Private Half Day Huaca Pucllana and Amano Museum
Our half-day adventure will take us around the modern and bustling districts of Barranco and Miraflores, where we’ll get some insight into the day-to-day life of the limeños. The route will give us a panoramic view of the famous Parque del Amor (“Park of Love”) in Miraflores, located on the perfect spot along the malecón (the promenade on the cliffs overlooking the ocean)for incomparable views of the bay of Lima from above. A great place to snap some amazing photos! We’ll then continue our journey to the Huaca Pucllana, a striking archaeological site in the heart of Miraflores. With its impressive adobe and clay structures, this iconic pyramid-like construction served as an important ceremonial and administrative place to the ancient Lima culture. Afterwards, we’ll head to the Amano Textile Museum, internationally recognized for its invaluable collection of archaeological material from pre-Columbian Peruvian cultures. We’ll enjoy the finest private collection of Peruvian textiles –including painted cotton pieces, unique cotton materials from Chancay (an archaeological zone north of Lima) and beautiful alpaca wool rugs –while learning about millenary weaving techniques.
